Former Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC striker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has started training with his new club FC Zürich in Switzerland on Wednesday morning.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker has started his journey in the European country with his new teammates as they prepare for the upcoming game in the league at home.
Zurich will host FC Winterthur in the Switzerland Super League this Sunday at home with Afriyie Barnieh in contention to start for the club for the first time since he joined.
He penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Black and Whites outfit ahead of the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria where Ghana was eliminated from the tournament at the quarter-final stage by Niger.
Afriyie Barnieh played two games at the CHAN tournament and scored against Sudan for the Black Galaxies which sealed qualification to the next stage of the competition.
Unfortunately, the former Accra Hearts of Oak SC striker missed the game against Niger after he was sent off in the game against Sudan.
