Ghana declares Tuesday, Jan. 7 as public holiday

Tuesday, January 7, 2020 has been declared as a public holiday known as ‘Constitution Day’ in Ghana.

According to a press release signed by the Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, “it is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”

PRESS RELEASE: DECLARATION OF TUESDAY, 7TH JANUARY, 2020 AS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The general public is hereby informed that Tuesday, 7th January, 2020 which marks CONSTITUTION DAY, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
