Ghana Premier League: Asante Kotoko 1 – 1 Tamale City – Porcupines drop points at home

Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC failed to win and grab all three points at home in the Premier League week 29 clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday evening.

 

The Porcupine Warriors failed to capitalized on their home advantage as they threw away a 1-0 lead to draw 1-1 at home to the newly promoted team.

 

Rocky Dwamena scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up after 36 minutes with a beautiful strike with nine minutes to the end of the match.

 

Four minutes to the end of the opening 45 minutes of the match, Mohammed Yahaya grabbed the equalizer for his team before heading to the interval.

 

The second half of the match provided no goal as it ended 1-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with the Porcupines hopes of defending the league keeps getting smaller by match day.

 

Asante Kotoko will face Bibiani Gold Stars FC in their next game at the same venue with Tamale City hosting Kumasi King Faisal FC.
