Ghana Premier League: Hearts 1 – 2 Real Tamale United – Rainbow Boys ‘On Their Way To Relegation’


Accra Hearts of Oak SC could be relegated to the Division One League Zone Three should they lose on the final day and all the teams behind them win.

Hearts were took a first half lead but failed to maintain their lead as they suffered a fourth straight win.

The Phobians suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Real Tamale United FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.


Hearts of Oak scored for St in the first half but threw away the lead to succumb to a 2-1 loss at home to go down the table.


Linda Mtange scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up on the 35th minute mark of the frenetic encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.


Former Phobian, Abdul Manaf Umar scored the equalizer for the away team one minute after the recess with a fine finish to make it 1-1 after 46 minutes.

Eric Esso saw red in the second half which Real Tamale United FC capitalized on to score their second goal inside the 80th minute mark.

Stephen Badu Dankwa’s goal was all the away team needed to steal all three points from the Rainbow Boys.
