Ghanaian striker Malik Abubakari was on the score sheet for ŠK Slovan Bratislava in their 2-2 draw with Dukla Banska Bystrica in the Slovakian Superliga on Saturday evening.
The FC Malmö player on loan at Slovan Bratislava was given a starting berth in front of the home fans at the National Football Stadium and played 78 minutes.
He was replaced by another Ghana footballer who recently played for Ghana’s Black Meteors team at the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco, Sharani Zuberu with 12 minutes left on the clock.
Enzo Arevalo broke the deadlock of the match and scored the first goal in the for the visitors Dukla Banska Bystrica in the 11th minute.
The home team upped their game and got their reward when Marko Tolic equalizd in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute, the home side had an opportunity to take the lead but Vladimir Weiss missed his spot kick.
In the 50th minute, Malik Abubakari scored to make it 2-1 as he was assisted Vladimir Weiss who missed a first half penalty.
Timotej Zahumensky scored to rescue his side from defeat in the 87th minute as it ended in a pulsating 2-2 draw.
