Ghanaian box-to-box midfielder Michael Baidoo HONOURED to be monitored by Black Stars coach Chris Hughton

In-form Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo is over the moon following the presence of Ghana’s Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton during his game this on Tuesday evening.

The Ghana gaffer traveled to Sweden to watch the midfielder play for Elfsborg IF in the Allsvenskan against AIK Solinki at home.

The box-to-box midfielder has expressed his excitement after he was told the Stars boss was in the stadium to monitor his performance for a possible call-up for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.

“There are so many Ghanaians in the Allsvenskan, so it’s fun that they came here and want to see us. I am so happy,” the talented attacking midfielder mentioned in a quote attributed to him by the Newspaper Borås Tidning.

The midfielder broke the deadlock of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the game with a good finish on the 14th minute mark of the match.

 

He played full throttle for the Yellow and Blacks outfit as the beat the NavyBlue and Yellow outfits 3-0 to remain top on the league table after 27 games with 60 points.

 

Johan Larssen scored the second goal of the encounter after 37 minutes with just eight minutes left before half time.

 

Eleven minutes away from the full time whistle, Baidoo converted a spot kick to make it 3-0 at full time.

 

The 24-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has found the back of the net five times this season and six assists to his name in 26 games.
