Popular Ghanaian musician KiDi had the shock of his life on Thursday, 14 May 2020, in the studios of Accra FM when he reported late for an interview.
Show host Nana Romeo did not mince words when the musician – as usual of most Ghanaian artistes – turned up late for the second time on his ‘Ayekoo Ayekoo’, mid-morning show.
Kidi was 25 minutes late into the scheduled time, prompting the host to call the interview segment off.
“I feel embarrassed because this is the second time you are doing this,” an infuriated Romeo told the popular artiste. “We always announce the time to the public but you don’t show up at the agreed time. That is not the case with other stations when you visit them.”
“I was planning for a beautiful interview but this can’t happen.”
A visibly embarrassed Kidi apologised, saying: “I apologise for this, I don’t mean to disrespect anybody. I don’t like the way I have been spoken to this morning but I apologise.”
