Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay was involved in a car accident during the early hours of Sunday, September 10, 2023.
The accident occurred on the Kwabenya – ACP Junction Road. Video footage from the scene shows her Jeep Wrangler damaged, with half of it in a gutter.
Prince Obimpeh, a Deputy Editor with UTV, who was at the scene, shared details on United Showbiz. He reported that Wendy Shay had to swerve to avoid a collision with a tipper Truck, which led to the accident.
Eyewitnesses at the scene are placing the blame on the tipper truck driver for reckless driving. It is not clear whether he escaped unhurt.
Prince Obimpeh also mentioned that Wendy Shay complained of a head injury, suggesting that she may have hit her head on an object during the accident.
Reports suggest she may have been sent to the hospital for treatment.
