Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was not included in Sporting’s pre-season squad for their training camp in Algarve ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
As it stands, the player is not currently in Ruben Amorim’s first team plans as the Green and Whites outfit gears up for the upcoming season after a disappointing last in the 2022-23 season.
Fatawu had a stint with the first team and even played in some UEFA Champions League games for the club during the 2022-23 season in Europe for the Portuguese club.
He prominently played for the youth team but has been dropped from the pre-season training which means he could only be involved with the reserve team.
