Government set to commission Kumasi International Airport on May 10

High expectations surround the upcoming commissioning of the Kumasi Airport, to be renamed Nana Agyemang Prempeh I International Airport on May 10, 2024.

 

President Akufo-Addo, alongside Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Minister of Transport Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company Limited Yvonne Nana Afiriyie Opare, and other dignitaries, will lead the commissioning ceremony.

 

Following the commissioning, the airport, now under the management of the Ghana Airport Company Limited, is slated to commence full operations by June this year after undergoing essential equipment testing.
