Former president John Mahama has said he is yet to decide whether or not to contest the 2024 elections as a flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking to VOA in Washington on Wednesday, 12 October 2022, Mahama said he would rather keep his opponents guessing on his next line of action.
“I haven’t,” Mahama responded to a question whether he has made up his mind to contest. “It’s good to keep your opponents guessing.”
He added: “Even if I am not running, I am not going to say I am not running. A decision will be taken early next year – the first quarter that’s when we’ll hold our party’s primary for the presidential candidacy. So, we’ll see.”
