Flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has extended an apology to former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, for his past harsh words and behavior towards him.

The Assin Central lawmaker spoke highly of Mr. Mahama as a gentleman and acknowledged that he had not treated him fairly due to his previous remarks and actions.

In an interview on Starr FM, Mr. Agyapong expressed remorse and stated that, upon reflection, he realized that he had been unjust to the former president. He emphasized that he is human and, like anyone else, can make mistakes, and therefore offers an unreserved apology to Mr. Mahama.

He said, “The way he has handled me and how I have spoken harshly to John Mahama, I think I have not been fair to Mahama. He is such a wonderful man. I apologize, I am a human being. I think I recount my relationship with him, and all that I want to say is I am sorry.”
