Kotoko 3-1 Bechem United: Porcupines bounce back to winning ways


Asante Kotoko defeated Bechem United 3-1 on Friday night in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors came from a goal down to record an impressive 3-1 home win over the Hunters in Accra.

The visitors struck first through Hafiz Konkoni’s goal to make it 1-0 to the away team. Former WAFA SC captain, Martin Antwi restored parity for the Reds with a well converted goal to make it one all.

The home team took the momentum from the equalizer and started creating chances in the latter part of the first half.

Augustin Okrah shot the Porcupines in front for the first time in the game late in the first half to make it 2-1 to the Reds before the break.

After the recess, both teams lifted their play and wowed the football loving fans who trooped to the stadium with some exciting display.

Imoro Ibrahim Robertson scored a gem of a free kick in the second department of the match to secure a comfortable 3-1 win over Bechem United to bounce back to victory after losing their last league game to Aduana Stars and suffering a humiliating elimination from the FA Cup in the hands of Division One side Asokwa Deportivo.

The Porcupine Warriors move joint top with regional rivals Ashantigold.
