Former President John Dramani Mahama is set to lead the 24-hour Economy Walk scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the Ashanti Region.

Originally planned for December 2023, the walk aims to sensitize the region’s residents about the 24-hour Economy policy.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership in the Ashanti Region, in a statement signed by Secretary Dr. Frank Amoakohene, confirmed that all preparations are in place for the event.

The walk will be attended by NDC’s National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, members of the NDC’s National Executive, and regional executives led by Regional Chairman Augustus Andrews Nana Akwasi.

The procession will traverse the principal streets of Kumasi, concluding at the Kumasi Jubilee Park, where speakers, including John Mahama, will address attendees.

Additionally, Mahama will embark on the ‘Building Ghana We Want Tour,’ engaging with various community sectors to share his vision and gather feedback directly from the grassroots.

The NDC anticipates a productive and interactive series of events, fostering a stronger connection between the party and the people of the Ashanti Region.
