Security was on high alert at the NDC party office in the Ashanti Region on Thursday as Muntaka Mubarak’s contender submits forms ahead of the party’s parliamentary polls.
The party’s regional office is currently closed amidst growing concerns there are plans by some party executives to disallow Mubarick Masawudu to contest the elections.
Elated delegates have thronged the party regional office as the campaign to unseat the incumbent MP and Minority Chief Whip gathers serious momentum.
Party bigwigs in the region including Alhassan Tapsoba have been left stranded at the party office, as party activities appear grounded.
