The Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has offered words of encouragement to the 2023 WASSCE graduates, urging them not to be disheartened by criticisms downplaying their success.

The 2023 WASSCE group, considered the 4th batch of graduates under the Free SHS policy, achieved remarkable results, with a majority of students passing exceptionally well.

Despite the widespread acclaim for the students’ success, former President John Mahama has made remarks casting doubt on the authenticity of the results, alleging collusion between students and teachers to cheat.

In response to such comments, Vice President Bawumia, in his congratulatory message to the graduates, advised them not to let such criticisms diminish their accomplishments.

Dr. Bawumia took the opportunity to commend the parents and teachers for their integral roles in facilitating the outstanding performances of the students in the 2023 WASSCE.
