Ghana’s Black Stars forward Bernard Tekpetey netted brace for Bulgaria First Professional League giant PFC Ludogorets Razgrad 1945 in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers against FC Astana.
The former Schalke 04 man hit brace to help his side secure a comfortable home win over FC Astana in Bulgaria to progress to the playoffs stage.
Tekpetey scored the opening goal of the match to put the home team in the lead halfway through the opening 45 minutes of the match with a sweet strike.
He grabbed his brace in the second to and his team’s third goal after Jakub Piotrowski had restored the home team’s lead which was canceled by Dembo Darboe to make it 3-1.
Piotrowski and Kiril Despodov scored the fourth and fifth goals respectfully to make the final score 5-1 to the Green and Whites Eagles.
The 25-year-old Ghana attacker was substituted and replaced by Caio after 77 minutes.
