Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo was on target for AFC Bournemouth for the first time in the English Premier League since joining in January from Bristol City FC on Sunday afternoon at home to Leeds United FC.

The attacker got his maiden goal for the Cherries and in the English Premier League on Sunday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium in a 4-1 comfortable win.

With just seven minutes to the end of the match, Gary O’Neil brought on the Ghana International to replace injured Kieffer Moore on the 83rd minute mark.

Before his introduction into the game, Jefferson Lerma had scored twice in the first half for Bournemouth with Patrick Bamford scoring a consolation for the away team before the break.

Former Liverpool Youth star, Dominic Solanke restored the two-goal advantage for the home team after 63 minutes of action with a beautiful strike.

One minute into the additional time period of the match, Jaidon Anthony slid a through pass to the former Bristol City player who found the bottom right corner with a sweet left-footed strike.

The goal is Semenyo’s first in the English Premier League and for his club in the top-flight of England since he joined the club in January.
