The proprietor of Mad Club and Restaurant, located at Lagos Avenue opposite Mensvic Hotel in Accra, has been summoned by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
This move comes in response to concerns raised on Saturday, December 30, 2023, regarding the unauthorized use of naked flames in the crowded nightclub. The GNFS Task Force, taking a proactive stance on potential fire hazards, swiftly intervened to ensure the safety of patrons and the surrounding area.
The GNFS revealed that the nightclub, operated without the essential fire clearance, prompting the Service to initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the unauthorized use of naked flames.
In a statement issued on Monday (1 January), the GNFS emphasized the seriousness with which it addresses matters of fire safety. It further reminded establishments of the importance of adhering to fire safety regulations and obtaining the necessary clearances to operate securely.
