The 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed his eagerness to serve Ghana without the need for a honeymoon period.

Speaking at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on Wednesday (7 February), Bawumia emphasised his commitment to immediate action.

“I will not ask for a honeymoon to cool off and think about what to do with the responsibility you would give me. I am ready to work. I am determined to make a difference; a positive difference. I will work for you and with you.”

Asserting his clarity of purpose, Bawumia outlined his vision for immediate action upon assuming the presidency: “I have clarity in my mind as to what I want to do from day one if you make me president.”

He conveyed a strong sense of purpose, declaring his readiness to work towards building a progressive society of possibilities, enterprise, compassion, open opportunities, and shared prosperity for all Ghanaians.
