The police in Kumasi are on a manhunt for a man who shot and killed a 26-year-old man in the Kumasi suburb of Adum on Thursday night.

The victim Victoria Dapaah was shot multiple times by a male adult suspected to be her boyfriend. She was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Sketchy details

Details of the incident remain sketchy. Crime scene investigators were in the area Friday morning as the police advance their investigations into the incident. They will however not comment or give additional information to the press.

Dailymailgh.com understands ‘persons of interest’ are assisting the police in their probe.

Mother pushes for justice

Victoria Dapaah’s mother Adwoa Nyarko is urging the police to bring her daughter’s attackers to justice.

“I have just been told the man’s name is ‘Tycoon’. The police have also come to take statements from us. I am just pleading with them to bring the suspect to justice. But even if he is apprehended the harm has already been caused”, Nyarko said amid tears.
