Ghanaian left-back Godfried Frimpong scored his first goal of the season for Moreirense in the Liga Portugal on Sunday night against giant FC Porto.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian left-back played 90 minutes of football for the home team before he was subbed off and replaced by Pedro Amador.

Following a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, Frimpong found the back of the net for his team in the second half to put the hosts 1-0 up on the 51st minute mark of the encounter.

Antonio Martinez on the 67th minute mark equalized for the away team before former Bayer 04 Leverkusen player Wendall scored the winner for Porto after 70 minutes.

Unfortunately, Frimpong’s goal was not enough to prevent Moreirense from suffering a defeat at home as they lost 2-1.
