Ghana’s Jordan Ayew strikes again to secure win for Crystal Palace

Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew was on target for the second week running as Crystal Palace beat Aston Villa at Selhust Park by 1-0.

Ayew finished off a quick break for Palace after Jeffrey Schlupp picked him up with a beautiful and well timed pass on the left side of the field and the forward looked like he was going to cross, but a deflection off Grealish took the ball back into his path and curled his effort past Tom Heaton in goal and into the bottom right corner.

The ’27 years-old’ striker is getting into his strides and has scored his second goal in a week for the Clarets in the ‘Premiership’ this season after netting his first against Manchester United last Sunday.

Ayew, who stood out during the 2019 Africa cup of Nations in Egypt, has been in fine form since the new season kicked off.
