Ghana’s Kotei lauds Uganda striker Okwi after AFCON goal

Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei has commended his Simba team mate Emmanuel Okwi after the striker scored in Uganda’s 2-0 win over DR Congo in Group A of the ongoing 2019 AFCON.

Okwi soared high above his marker to nod home Uganda’s second goal in the 48th minute as they completely outplayed DR Congo.

Kotei insists people should watch out for Okwi as he will take the continental showpiece by storm.

“Okwi is one of the most talented players in Simba and he’s a striker who doesn’t just score but can also play with his mates; he’s a lion who get on the field and does not joke with his work,“ Kotei exclusively told Dailymailgh.com

“He will be one of the stars at this AFCON tournament. People must look out for him. ‘Emmosting’ is the name we call him.”

“Off the field, he is a great guy also. He’s my main man in the club, we share issues together. He calls anytime he feels and I also do the same,” he added.

Kotei and Okwi were the two best players for Simba this ended season as they reached CAF Champions League quarter finals and also won the domestic Tanzanian Premiership.
