Heavy rains to hit Accra, others today – Ghana Meteo

Ghana’s capital Accra and other places will be hit by heavy rains on Monday, May 27, 2019, the Meteorological Agency has warned.

Other areas to be affected are Aflao, Akatsi, Anloga, Ada, harbour city Tema, Saltpond and surroundings.

An alert from the GMA also served notice to locals in Takoradi, Axim, Half Assini and surroundings to prepare for the rains later Monday.

According to the GMA, a band of clouds tracked over the ocean on Sunday, 26 May 2019, is expected to induce cloudiness over the coastal cities with a chance of moderate to heavy rains Monday morning and in the afternoon.

Recreational activities, the GMA noticed, are likely to be affected along the coast as moderate to strong winds will accompany the rains.
