Kofi Adu Amoateng: Assemblymen confirm Akufo-Addo’s nominee as Bosome Freho DCE

Assemblymembers in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region have confirmed President Akufo-Addo’s nominee, Kofi Adu Amoateng as Chief Executive of the area.

He polled 22 out of the total 29 votes representing 75.9 per cent after the first round of elections supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC) and the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) on Wednesday (16 August).

Amoateng, a four-time secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Bosome Freho Constituency was nominated by President Akufo-Addo on July 28.

He replaces Yaw Danso who was asked to step aside to make way for investigations into alleged dodgy dealings linked to illegal mining.
