The chiefs and people of Botoku in the North Dayi District of the Volta region on Thursday received a brand new two-classroom Kindergarten block for their children at a very colourful ceremony.
The two-classroom Kindergarten block with facilities such as storeroom and a headteacher’s office was commissioned and handed over to the community by the Member of Parliament for North Dayi, Joycelyn Tetteh.
The project is a joint venture between the MP and Pencil of Promise, a nonprofit organisation.
At the commissioning ceremony, the Chief and People of the community used the occasion to honour the MP for her developmental efforts which has gone a long way to improve the quality of life of the people in Botoku.
Present at the occasion was the Chiefs, Volta Regional NDC Secretary, James Gunu and the North Dayi District Director of Education.
