NPP Polls: Wontumi unites Ashanti candidates with post-election breakfast meeting

An official statement has confirmed that the re-elected Ashanti Regional Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako is expected to hold a breakfast meeting for all contestants in the just-ended regional elections over the weekend.

The breakfast will be held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi on Friday (June 3), according to the statement signed by Andy Owusu, a Special Aide to the Regional Chairman.

“The Regional Chairman intends to use the occasion to express gratitude to all the aspirants and to also encourage them to continue to work towards fostering unity and togetherness in the interest of the party”, the statement explained in part adding: “The re-elected Regional Chairman has already hit the grounds running as he seeks to build a strong and united front in the quest to prosecute the Breaking the 8 Agenda”.

Chairman Wontumi, as he is affectionately called, was retained as the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the third time in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission. He polled 464 votes, beating his main contender Odeneho Kwaku Appiah who garnered 306 votes.

The Regional Chairman, according to his aide, has since visited all the candidates after the elections stressing that Friday’s meeting “will further seek to strengthen the unity and the peaceful co-existence amongst all the various aspirants.”

STATEMENT: CHAIRMAN WONTUMI TO HOST BREAKFAST FOR ALL ASPIRANTS ON FRIDAY

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will on Friday, June, 3, 2022, host breakfast for all the 39 aspirants who participated in the just ended Regional Elections held at the Baba Yara Sports last week Saturday.

The Breakfast will be held at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi.

The Regional Chairman intends to use the occasion to express gratitude to all the aspirants and to also encourage them to continue to work towards fostering unity and togetherness in the interest of the party.

The re-elected Regional Chairman has already hit the grounds running as he seeks to build a strong and united front in the quest to prosecute the Breaking the 8 Agenda.

He has already given true meaning to united leadership after paying courtesy call on all the regional chairmanship aspirants at their residences on Sunday.

The Friday Breakfast event will further seek to strengthen the unity and the peaceful co-existence amongst all the various aspirants.
