‘One of my biggest achievements will be playing at the World Cup for Ghana’ – Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo

Ghana and Bristol City star Antoine Semenyo says playing at the World Cup for Ghana’s Black Stars in Qatar later this year after the Stars beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the ticket.

According to him playing at the biggest FIFA Mundial will be one of the biggest achievements in his young career.

The 22-year-old Bristol City FC striker has switched nationality to represent Ghana at the international level after some short stint with England juvenile teams.

Speaking to Accra-based Happy FM, Semenyo indicated playing at the World Cup will be one of the biggest achievements of his career.

“I am hoping to come for the qualifiers in June. I am ready to go. I am ready physically, and mentally to play on the African continent”

“The World Cup could be one of the biggest achievements in my career. Not many people get the chance to do that and I would be glad to say that I have”.

“I haven’t established myself to the Ghana fans and coach so I want to play as many games so I can show people what I can do. I feel like being very clinical and if you give me one chance I will score”, he added.

He was part of the Ghana team invited by interim coach Otto Addo for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against Nigeria but missed out due to injury.

Semenyo has 8 goals and 12 assists in 30 matches in the English Championship.
