Outgoing Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has been named as the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto committee for the upcoming 2024 elections.
The announcement, detailed in a statement released on February 21, also designates Housing Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah as the deputy chairman and Evron Hughes as the secretary for the committee.
The committee’s responsibilities include a comprehensive evaluation of the party’s 2016 and 2020 manifestos, engaging with key stakeholders, and formulating a practical and relevant manifesto for the 2024 elections.
The statement highlighted that sector ministers would serve as advisors to the committee, emphasizing the importance of addressing the legitimate concerns and socioeconomic challenges facing Ghanaians in the development of the manifesto.
The committee is tasked with executing its duties with efficiency and professionalism to ensure the enduring relevance of the manifesto over time.
