The Family of Ibrahim Yakubu II, publicly known as Sadiki Awala is on collision course with the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander of Operations, ACP Kwesi Ofori, for allegedly making comments suggesting that their son is a leader of a Land guard group which is terrorizing the lives of people at Tse Addo.

In a press release issued by the family Tuesday, they indicated that Sariki Ibrahim Yakubu is an Estate Developer and that the said information which was put out by ACP Ofori sought to drag the name of the Ibrahim Yakubu family into the mud.

“We have held separate meetings over the said development and have concluded on taking a legal action against ACP Kwesi Ofori if he fails to retract the falsehood he spewed against Sariki Awala as a ring leader of a group of land guards. For the records, our son Sariki Awala, is the CEO of a multi-million Cedis registered company, a decent person who respects the rules of law and will never go cheap to support any activities of a land guards let alone, becoming a ring leader of an illegitimate group,” they stated.

The family has thus called on the general public to disregard any such comments as came from the Policeman and treat it with all the contempt it deserves.

It said the allegation was to cast a slur and to tarnish the hard earned reputation of Sadiki Awala.

The family also indicated that, they took the pain to investigate the circumstances surrounding the acquisition of Tse Addo lands and came to the verification that the said land belongs to the Tsinatse family.

“Being much interested in ascertaining the veracity of the claims against Sariki Awala, the Ibrahim Yakubu II family met the head of family for the Tsinatse family Mr Samuel Tawiah Quaye who indicated that the family have Judgement on the entire Tseado Lands from the High Court in a case Titled: “Edward Mensah Tawiah and Ewormenyo Ofoli Kwashie vrs the acting registrar of lands and the Trustees East Dadekotopon Development Trust,” it said.

According to them, the said Judgment which was delivered by His Lordship Justice K. A Ofori Atta in Suit Number BL 431/2006, made the Royal Family of Tse Addo to entrust their Power Of Attorney to Sariki Ibrahim Yakubu Awala.

“It is therefore imperative for all media houses to cross check their facts from the Family as our doors are widely open for them at any time they need information,” the family said.

There is some social media publication suggesting that the said Sadiki Ibrahim Yakubu is a land guard whose activities are becoming a problem to the people of the area.

According to the Ibrahim Yakubu family, the publications which were made on the headline: “Police on Manhunt for Ring Leader of Tse Ado Landguards,” is nothing but false, since their son, Sariki Ibrahim Yakubu is “not a land guard.”
