President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reassigned Hon. Stephen Amoah, the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, as the Deputy Minister for Finance.
Hon. Amoah, who previously served as the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, replaces the late Hon. John Kumah, who passed away on March 7, 2024.
His appointment, which takes effect immediately, was announced in a statement signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin.
In addition, President Akufo-Addo has nominated Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, the Member of Parliament for Achiase, as the Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry, pending parliamentary approval.
President Akufo-Addo expressed his hope for bipartisan cooperation in expediting the approval process for Mr. Marfo, enabling him to join the government and contribute to the administration’s goals for its second term.
