A final year student of the University of Ghana, Daniel Osei, has been attacked by armed men on campus.
The Psychology student was brutally attacked and sustained several cutlass wounds on his head and arms during the attack. He was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital in the capital Accra for treatment.
Reports say he was in the company of some other colleagues who had gone out at dawn in search of food to eat after studying deep into the night.
They were reportedly attacked by persons suspected to be armed robbers along the road leading from Pentagon to the Evandy hostel which is situated on the campus of the University.
The other colleagues of Osei managed to flee the attack unharmed.
No arrest has been made since the attack.
