Ghana’s Black Meteors striker Emmanuel Yeboah has been excluded from the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship Team of the Group Stages by the organizers of the tournament.
Despite scoring three goals and providing one assist making it four goal involvement out of the five goals scored at the competition by Ghana, the player has surprisingly been ignored by CAF as they named their best eleven of the first round.
The list included four players from holders, Egypt, who finished first in their group and will face Guinea in the semi final of the ongoing event in Morocco.
The hosts, Morocco also had four players from the list of the best eleven by CAF with three Malian players completing the list of players named by CAF as best eleven after three matches with four games left in the whole tournament to be played between Tuesday and the weekend.
No single Black Meteors player was named in the list of the team of the group stages of the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship.
