The Black Queens of Ghana have been eliminated by the Harambee Starlets of Kenya in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games qualifiers after losing 0-1 in Nairobi.
Ghana played out a goalless draw with the Kenyans at the Accra Sports Stadium and succumbed to an an extra time goal to qualify for the next stage stage of the qualifiers.
Black Queens have never played in the Competition in their history and could not prevent this unwanted history from repeating its self.
Female football in Ghana, especially at the senior level has been in shambles since 2007 and this defeat proves why Ghana haven’t been able to play in the women’s world Cup in 12 years.
