Osabarima Kwame Okoh the chief of Asamang Tamfoe in the Atiwa East District of the Eastern Region has lauded his Member of Parliament Abena Osei-Asare stating that her record and investment in the area has been unmatched since the creation of the constituency.
He made these remarks when the MP recently made a trip to the community as part of her routine visit to the constituency to interact with the people.
“I am extremely happy and humbled and her achievement is evident for people to see. Many MPs have come and gone but we haven’t witnessed your type since the inception of democracy in the last three decades”, Osabarima said.
“My community is indeed grateful for the numerous interventions you’ve rolled out in our area”, he added.
The lawmaker who doubles as Ghana’s Deputy Finance Minister used the occasion to connect with the people stating the numerous projects initiated in the community.
For Margaret Acheampong who has lived in Asamang Tamfoe all her life, the MP deserves another term. As a youth leader in her local church, she pledged to rally massive support for the legislator.
“I can speak with pride about improvement in access to healthcare delivery, school infrastructure, potable water, road network, educational scholarships, job opportunities for the youth and support for farmers”, Acheampong said.
“I hear somebody from this town wants to contest her but that won’t happen. She already has my votes”, she added.
