Bechem United 1-0 XI Wonders: Hunters chase Wonders out of Bechem


Bechem United continued with their home invincibility in the Ghana Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Techiman XI Wonders on Monday.

The hunters secured a hard fought 1-0 home win over regional rivals XI Wonders to earn the bragging right.

The away team were awarded a penalty in the opening minutes of the game but attacker Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah could not make the most out of the opportunity as his spot kick was saved by the home team goalkeeper.

16-year-old striker Prince Kwabena Adu netted his fifth league goal of the season for the Hunters five minutes before the break to make it 1-0 to the host.

Wonders failed to convert chances that came their way in the match as they suffered their fourth defeat in five outings.

Bechem United travels to the capital to face Legon Cities FC on Friday whiles XI Wonders welcome Karela United in Techiman on Saturday.
