CHAN 2022: Algeria whip ‘GHANA MASTERS’ Niger 5-0 to reach final

The Foxes of Algeria whipped Ghana Black Galaxies ‘Masters’ Niger in the first semi-final of the CAF Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament on Tuesday evening.

The Desert Foxes lashed the West African country by a whopping 5-0 score line in Oran to reach their first ever CHAN tournament final.

Algeria has been the team to beat as they have won all their games at the CHAN tournament which they are the host nation without conceding a single goal so far.

They won all their group stage games with a 1-0 score line keeping three clean sheet in the process and scoring in every game in the group stages.

Ayoub Abdellauoi scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the game when he struck after 15 minutes with a fine strike.

Eight minutes later, Aymen Mahious added the second goal for the home team to increase their tally to two halfway through the first 45 minutes of the match.

On the 34th minute mark of the match, Aymen Mahious struck again to grab his fifth goal in the ongoing 2022 CAF Africa Nations Championship in Algeria and his brace in the game and his team’s third.

Bourima Katakore scored an own goal few minutes away from the half time whistle to make it 4-0.

Algeria didn’t take their foot off the paddle and continued with their total dominance in the second half of the match with scintillating display.

Soufiane Bayazid added his name to the goal scorers when he grabbed the icing on the cake goal late in the game to make the final score 5-0 to send Algeria to the final waiting for the winner between Senegal and Madagascar.
