Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have been beaten to a pulp in the Ghana Premier League week 26 clash at the Berekum Golden City park on Friday afternoon against Chelsea FC.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered their biggest defeat of the season against the Bibires who hit the Reds for three to get their biggest win over the Porcupines.

Chelsea started the game on a blistering pace, stating their intent very early in the game with mouth-watering display on the rough pitch.

Both teams created some few chances but it was Chelsea who had some good and excellent efforts on goal which was thwarted by Black Meteors goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad.

In the second half of the match after a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, Kalo Kalo Oyattarra broke the deadlock of the match with a powerful header to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the second half.

The attacker was on the score sheet for the home team again with a beautiful header three minutes after the hour mark to make it 2-0.

Cameroonian attacker, Georges Rodriguez Mfegue went on a solo run and almost found the back of the net for his team but was undone by the bad nature of the field.

Kotoko from there, failed to create any meaningful chances in the game and eventually gave the home team the opportunity to add to their two goals.

Former Medeama SC player Patrick’s Fati Ansu came from the bench to score the third goal of the match to put the hosts 3-0 up with five minutes to go.

The game ended 3-0 with Kotoko suffering their biggest defeat of the season away from home.

Asante Kotoko SC will face League leaders, Aduana Stars FC in their next game in the Ghana Premier League next Sunday whiles Berekum Chelsea FC travels to take on Gold Stars FC in Bibiani.
