Ghanaian attacker Patrick Twumasi has begun pre-season with his Spanish La Liga club Deportivo Alaves despite his future hanging in a balance.
Twumasi was among the 25 players who were present at the team’s training grounds on Monday as new manager Asier Garitano officially started.
The Ghanaian has been linked to clubs including AEK Athens and Celtic after a torrid first season with El Glorioso and official contacts have already been made.
Twumasi has to impress the new manager in the pre-season games if he is to be kept by Alaves for the coming campaign.
Alaves will face SD Leioa in the first off season game on July 19 and Twumasi is expected to feature.
