Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil showcased his skills for LA Galaxy in a thrilling Major League Soccer (MLS) match against San Jose Earthquake. The game ended with a 4-3 victory for LA Galaxy in the Cali Classico clash on Monday.

LA Galaxy got off to a strong start, with Gabriel Pec scoring the opening goal just 14 minutes into the game. Shortly after, Joseph Paintsil extended their lead by converting a penalty in the 24th minute. He then assisted Maya Yoshida, who scored from a corner kick in the 30th minute.

Despite San Jose pulling one back before halftime, courtesy of Rodrigues in the 32nd minute, LA Galaxy maintained a 3-1 lead at the break.

In the second half, former Barcelona midfielder Ricard Puig secured the win for LA Galaxy with a goal in the 56th minute. However, San Jose didn’t give up, with Benjamin Kikanovic and Jeremy Ebobisse finding the back of the net in the 58th and 72nd minutes, respectively.

Paintsil, who joined LA Galaxy from KRC Genk in February, has been a standout performer throughout the 2024 MLS season, contributing to a total of eight goals so far. His impact on the field continues to be instrumental in LA Galaxy’s pursuit of success in the league.
