Kumasi: 21-year-old man faces prosecution over gruesome murder of woman, 48

The police in the Ashanti Region are investigating a case of murder following the death of a 48-year-old woman at Sepe Buokrom in Kumasi.

A 21-year-old man is being held in connection with the crime which occurred on Monday (6 February 2023).

The suspect only identified as Baafi reportedly stabbed the deceased multiple times during a robbery attempt but was later overpowered by residents and handed over to the police.

There are indications he would be put before a court to face justice.

The victim has been named Akosua Agyaa. Her remains have since been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
