Former referee and now coach, Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo is brimming in confidence with regards to coaching Ghana’s senior national female team again in the future.
According to her, anything is possible in football and for that matter she cannot be ruled out of steering the affairs of Ghana’s Black Queens in the future.
She cited former Ghana Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah who had two separate stints with the senior national team as trainer as an example to revive her believes in becoming Black Queens coach again one day.
“Coaching is full of uncertainties. Kwesi Appiah was [head coach of the] Black Stars. He went for a while and he came back. I can come back. You never know. I am still a coach,” she told Citi Sports.
Black Queens are currently coached by Nora Häuptle, a Swiss football manager and former player who has been the manager of the Ghana women’s national team since January 2023.
