NPP loses Council of Elders member Rev. Asante-Antwi

A member of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Rev. Samuel Asante-Antwi, is dead, party officials have confirmed to Dailymailgh.com.

Rev. Asante-Antwi died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in the wee hours of Saturday.

Rev. Asante Antwi, a former president of the Methodist Church, was known for his criticisms against the NDC when the party was in power.

Rev. Asante-Antwi became President of the Methodist church in August 1997.

He was chair of the disciplinary committee of the NPP that suspended then party chairman Paul Afoko.
